I'm back

Well, last you heard from me I was off to the chapel and getting married.

Now, I am married.

The wedding was great. The weather for the outdoor reception was perfect. I don't think I could've hoped for more. You can view a photo slideshow here, courtesy of our guests who've uploaded photos to a Flickr account I created just for the occasion.

Yilin and I spent 3 nights in Quebec City as a "minimoon" so that I wouldn't lose too much time writing my thesis. We ate a lot. I mean, so much so that I woke up in the middle of the night with indigestion, two nights in a row. It was great.

So we've been back in NYC for a while now. I've been writing my thesis. Sometimes it can be boring, but what am I going to do? Not do it? That's not an option. Besides, the simple fact that I am writing my thesis outweighs any associated boredom that can come from it.

I am also in the process of setting up my thesis defense committee and finalizing a date for my defense. I will let everyone know when that gets worked out.

Lastly, Yilin's brother, Yen-I, is staying with us for the summer. Hyunmi and Mike were nice enough to host him for a week when we first returned to NYC, so that we could have our first week home, as newlyweds, to ourselves. Since then he's been staying with us. So far everything is working out just fine: Yilin has been making him do some of my household chores. Gotta love that!

I apologize for the brevity of this post, which contains information on many large events in my life, but I have to spend more time typing something else... I will update more regularly now.
